Athena was a special production for me. In addition to my normal responsibilities as a Stage Manager (completing/organizing paperwork, calling the show, documenting show blocking, etc.), I was also tasked with monitoring the safety of the performers who were fencing in the show. While blocking the fencing scenes, we worked in conjunction with our fencing choreographer to ensure that the scene was realistic, entertaining, and safe for the performers and the audience.
