Exit the King was a very interesting project to work on due to the themes presented in the show. The show was thematically centered around the idea of death and mortality. In addition to idealizing death and the artistry that has surrounded death for hundreds of years, I also challenged myself to idealize the consequences of growing old and the fear of living an unfulfilling life. The show was produced by Rowan Lab Theatre, a student-sanctioned and operated organization. As the sound designer, I worked in conjunction with Mike Landolfi, the music composer for the production and a long-time friend. Together, we collaborated to create a seamless design consisting of multiple immersive soundscapes and customized music compositions.
